There are places in Jakarta where you can get a decent meal for one and a half US Dollar. They are tasty and also healthier than street food. I used to get my lunch at this kind of place daily when I work at business district area like Sudirman and Kuningan. There are a lot of place like this of you paying attention but not all is tasty like this one. The food place is called
Kantin or Canteen, a place that provide food for worker or student. It is mostly self service, you get how much that you want and at the end of the line, they will calculate how much the price according to your food at your plate.
