Heavy Leaking on My Roof

Yesterday about 2 A.M. my roof was leaking due to heavy rain. It was leaking heavily in my kitchen area and made the kitchen floor flooded with water. I guess there is a damage in our roof and nobody is noticing until heavy rain comes. This is the heaviest leaking I ever seen in my house.

Nowadays the weather is acting weird, very hot in the day and heavy rain but short in the evening or night. Well, I guess we have to call a guy to repair our roof soon.

  1. Aww..All I can say is that your roof badly needs repair. I'm hoping you'd be able to repair that as soon as possible. It's true, there has been a noticeable shift in weather as compared to 30 years ago. It has been quite unpredictable lately.

  2. Heaving rain is a roof’s greatest enemy. Since rain is frequent in tropical areas, be sure that your roof can stand heavy rain showers. You can do the repairs yourself. First, you need to identify where the leak is coming from. Using a garden hose, spray your roof and follow the drippings. Let the area dry for an hour and then apply polyurethane caulk to the leak. This is a temporary fix. After having done such, it is best to call your roofer for a permanent solution to your leaking roof.

  3. OMG! In this case, you do need to seek assistance from a professional roofing contractor, Chris! They know how to immediately repair your leaking roof so as to prevent further damage on your house. Also, they can advise you on what kind of roof you need -- a kind that is reliable and can endure heavy rain.

  4. Roof leak is really a pain in every homemaker’s life. You spend a lot of time cleaning the mess, and it will keep you awake all night from preventing the water from spreading out inside the house. I think the best way to prevent this roof issue is to properly maintain your roof. Having a roof inspection twice a month can be a great way to detect roof leaks, holes and any damage. Early detection can help you save you a lot on major roof repairs and hassles.

  5. Santo is right! If you don’t want to deal with big damages with your home, calling Mr. Roofer would be the best resort. It’s important that you have a list of contractors, not only for roofing stuff, but for other house concerns as well. That way, you’ll never have a hard time seeking for reputable and trusted roofers in town.
